The company has been established in 1997 as a subsidiary of TECHO Prague, member of the Dutch Royal AHREND Group.
As the culmination of a process that started in 2008, when Ahrend acquired its 100% ownership interest, TECHO and its subsidiaries will, from 1st January 2021, trade under the name Ahrend.

Since 1997 we have been delivering interiors works for offices, showrooms, bank branches, hotels, and education and medical facilities around the world.

We have always believed that investment into high-quality design pays dividends in the long run in terms of customer satisfaction.
When designing new products and interiors we cooperate externally with renowned Czech and international designers and architects. Our cooperation has resulted in a number of awards.
For example, we have twice been awarded a Red Dot Design Award.
We support art
A pleasant work environment, high quality design and art are all closely interconnected. We are glad that works of art are more often than ever being included in modern interiors, and we are striving to promote this trend.
We have for many years been working with leading Czech artists and we support a range of cultural projects.
We manufacture in the Czech Republic
TECHO’s production plant in Prague Hostivař is one of the most modern factories for furniture production in Central and Eastern Europe. Starting in the nineteen nineties we have gradually expanded production and increased its productivity and efficiency by introducing new advanced technologies.
Over the past two decades we have also invested heavily into limiting the negative influences of production on the environment. With respect to water and air pollution, our factory complies with the strictest Scandinavian standards. Our emissions are only 10% of those permitted by EU standards. In the area of environmental protection, we have long strived to be an example to inspire other producers.
